Uniswap, the leading decentralized crypto exchange, has announced the release of three new features to improve the user experience and facilitate cryptocurrency transactions. These features include a browser sidebar extension, a limit order function, and data and insights pages.
Uniswap Extension: A New Way to Interact with Crypto
The Uniswap Extension is a browser sidebar extension that allows users to swap, sign transactions, and send or receive crypto anywhere on the web. The extension is designed to streamline the process of interacting with digital assets, without obstructing the user’s window or losing their place.
The Uniswap Extension is the first wallet extension to live in the browser’s sidebar, persisting no matter where the user is on the web. The extension also integrates with the Uniswap web and mobile app, providing a unified platform for swapping.
Users can join the waitlist for the beta version of the Uniswap Extension by claiming their uni.eth usernames, with notifications about waitlist status provided through the Uniswap mobile app.
Limit Orders: Automate Your Trades at Your Price
The second feature that Uniswap has introduced is the Limit Orders function, which enables users to automate buying or selling cryptos at predetermined prices. Users can place a limit order for any token, with any predefined price and duration, up to a year, on Ethereum.
If the market for that token reaches the specified price, the swap executes. If it does not reach the specified price within the set timeframe, the swap expires and is never executed. This feature provides users with the ability to execute trades automatically at their desired price, without needing to constantly watch the market.
Limit Orders are powered by UniswapX, a third-party service that eliminates gas fees for placing and executing limit orders.
Data and Insights: Research and Swap Smarter
The third feature that Uniswap has added is the updated Token Detail Pages and the new Pool Detail Pages, which offer users real-time charts, transaction logs, pool data, and comprehensive project information. These pages are fully integrated into the Uniswap web app, bringing data and insights into the swapping flow.
These pages are not just built for research. Users can also swap, buy, send, and place a limit order directly from these pages, making the entire process, from research to execution, seamless.
Uniswap stated that these enhancements are aimed at helping users swap smarter with a unified platform that enables faster, safer, more informed swapping.
