The new year has brought some changes to the crypto market, as several exchanges have announced their plans to list or delist certain digital assets. Some of these changes are driven by regulatory compliance, while others are based on market demand and performance. Here is a summary of the major crypto exchange listing and delisting announcements in January 2024.
OKX Delists Privacy Tokens and Other Pairs
One of the most notable announcements came from OKX, a leading crypto exchange that decided to delist several spot trading pairs involving privacy tokens and other coins. The exchange cited its commitment to maintaining a robust spot trading environment as the reason for removing these pairs, which did not meet its standards.
The affected pairs include:
- XMR-BTC, XMR-ETH, XMR-USDT, XMR-USDC
- DASH-BTC, DASH-USDT
- ZEC-BTC, ZEC-USDT, ZEC-USDC
- ZEN-BTC, ZEN-USDT
These pairs will be delisted on January 5, 2024, between 8-8:30 am UTC. Customers who have placed orders with these pairs before the announcement are advised to cancel them, or OKX will automatically do so within 1-3 working days. Customers will also have until March 5, 2024, to withdraw their tokens, after which the withdrawals will be suspended.
Privacy tokens are often considered as risky assets by regulators, as they can facilitate illicit activities and hinder compliance efforts. OKX is not the first exchange to delist them, as others like Bittrex and ShapeShift have done so in the past.
Crypto.com Lists CorgiAI and Adds New Trading Pairs
On the other hand, some exchanges have expanded their offerings by listing new tokens and adding new trading pairs. Crypto.com, a popular platform that offers various crypto services, has listed CorgiAI (CORGIAI), a meme token that claims to use artificial intelligence to generate profits for its holders.
The exchange has also added new trading pairs for several tokens, including OCEAN, ORDI, OSMO, PAXG, ILV, LUNA2, LUNC, MASK, PRIME, PUSH, STRAX, and SUPER. These pairs are paired with ETH, and are available on the Crypto.com app.
Crypto.com is known for its diverse and extensive portfolio of crypto assets, as well as its innovative products such as the Crypto.com Visa Card, the Crypto.com DeFi Wallet, and the Crypto.com NFT platform. The exchange aims to accelerate the adoption of crypto by providing a seamless and secure user experience.

These tokens are available for trading on KuCoin with USDT or BTC pairs. KuCoin also offers various features and services for its users, such as the KuCoin Trading Bot, the KuCoin Lending platform, the KuCoin Futures platform, and the KuCoin Community Chain.
